Martinez Oral History Project

The Oral History Project of Martinez and Alhambra Creek Watershed creates audio and video recordings of interviews with long-time residents of Martinez and adjacent rural areas. The videotaped interviews are archived at the Martinez Museum and made available on this website.

The Oral History Project is the achievement of organizers and volunteers from many groups including: Contra Costa Resource Conservation District, Alhambra Creek Restoration & Environmental Education Collaborative, Alhambra Valley Creek Coalition, Friends of Alhambra Creek, Environmental Studies Academy, Martinez Historical Society, and Muir Heritage Land Trust.

If you or someone you know is interested in being interviewed or would like to become involved with the project (i.e. filming, interviewing, outreach, etc...) please contact us at the email below or contact the Martinez Museum at 1005 Escobar Street Martinez, California 94553. Tel: (925)228-8160.
